This MATLAB application provides a flexible environment for modelling, testing, and demonstrating complete wireless communication chains. Developed to align with the Terahertz Engineering Laboratory’s current transmission hardware capabilities, the tool enables researchers to explore system behaviour from baseband generation through to signal recovery.
The app supports both sinusoidal and complex waveform transmission, allowing users to prototype a wide range of modulation and signalling strategies. Built‑in digital compensation modules—including IQ‑imbalance correction and coarse time‑synchronisation—help users evaluate system robustness and isolate hardware‑induced impairments.
Designed as a standalone, user‑friendly interface, the simulator streamlines rapid experimentation, algorithm development, and hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing for high‑frequency wireless links. It serves as a practical platform for training, demonstration, and early‑stage research into advanced communication architectures.
